The CCTR seeks funding from business donations, academic research grants, research foundations, and government organizations. The CCTR was founded with a HK$1 mil. donation from the Cheng Tseng-Hsi Foundation, directed by Ronnie Chan, which was supplemented by another one million from the HK government. Other groups and organizations contributed to our research funding include the Shui On Group, The Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation, the Japan External Trade Organization, the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Ministry of External Affairs, the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, and the Central Policy Unit (HK Government). Some projects are also funded by HKUST.

In the future, we will continue to apply for research grants and engage in more funded research projects.  This funding could sustain continuous research activities,  ensure regular dissemination of research results to the public, promotion and organization of academic conferences and workshops, and defray part of the administrative costs for the center.

If any member or institute is interested in funding, also if you can arrange regular corporate sponsorship with commitments of 5-year donations to the center, you could consider to be our corporate sponsor and contact us.
